After exercising utter domination from the years 2015-16, Novak Djokovic’s career developed a downward slope in the 2017 season. He retired from Wimbledon 2017 and later called off his tennis season. The same year Novak Djokovic parted ways with his former team, Marian Vajda and Boris Becker. And, his elbow injury pulled him down.
After splitting with his old team, Djokovic joined forces with the eight-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi. Recently while speaking to The New York Times the Serb reflected upon the significance of Agassi in his tennis career.
“He (Andre Agassi) was one of the very influential people in my life, who actually allowed me to come to all of these realizations even more,” Djokovic said.“If you see things from a larger perspective, it’s quite interestingly the same in terms of understanding what the next step in life is. I will eternally be grateful to him.”
