The 2020 tennis season came to an end recently, and it concluded with the ATP Finals. It had been played in London for quite some time but now, it is moving to Turin, Italy for the 2021 edition. Italian tennis star Matteo Berrettini is excited about this. He said:

“An extraordinary moment for Italian tennis. Of course I hope to be there. Or that there is still some Italian. Besides me and Fabio Fognini there is Sinner, there is Lorenzo Sonego who is playing very well. And there are many others who can give us joy over the next year.”

Not a great 2020 for Matteo Berrettini

Back in 2019, Matteo Berrettini played some amazing tennis which led to him qualifying for the ATP Finals. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to repeat this achievement in 2020. He explained this and said, “I felt a lot of the fatigue of this 2020. I didn’t start the season in the best way, I often played half-injured. Then the fight against time to get back in shape, and when I was ready the virus arrived and they canceled everything.”

Jannik is doing something impressive, he has an incredible maturity. At his age, I didn’t think about winning even a game, let alone a tournament. It is clear that he plays with a future idea,” said Berrettini.
