Juan Martin Del Potro Announces Big Changes in His Team

Former World Number three Juan Martin del Potro made a convincing comeback in 2019 after recovering from his knee injury. During Rome Masters last year, the Argentine even had match points in his match against World Number one Novak Djokovic, but could not capitalize.
But before getting on-board in the 2020 season, Del Potro has parted ways with his coach Sebastian Prieto. The former doubles specialist from Argentina, Prieto was working with Del Potro since 2017. They were successful in pulling off the Indian Wells title, wherein the Argentine ace dethroned the defending champion Roger Federer in the finals.

“I want to share that I have agreed with Sebastian Prieto to end our partnership so that he can work with Juan Londero, while I continue my rehab process. I’m very thankful to Piper for all of these years together. He is a great coach and even a better person. All the best!” Del Potro announced on social media.
A triumphant 2018 for Juan Martin Del Potro
In 2018, before becoming a champion in California, Del Potro had already won the title in Mexico. He managed a run into the semifinal at French Open too. Moreover, he played a thrilling five-set match against Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.

His impressive run at Slams continued at the US Open, as the Argentine skyscraper reached the finals at Flushing Meadows, New York.
