Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitstipas Reveal Their Weird Match Rituals

Before getting on-board to a venture most of us have some superstitious practices and so do tennis players. Recently, Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas revealed their weird match rituals or their superstitious notions while playing a tournament. 

Australian big server Kyrgios is a die-hard basketball fan. He follows the sport regularly. Also, the basketball gear fascinates him. And as a tennis ritual, before a match, he wears a pair of Air Jordans and then steps on the court.

“I just change my shoes. I walk out there and usually, they’re Jordan ones then change my normal ones, and when I finish I do it again. That’s pretty much it,” Nick Kyrigos shared.

Upon the demise of Kobe Bryant, Krgios revealed his close association with the sport.“I never met Kobe. But basketball is practically my life. I’ve been following it for as long as I can remember,” he said.

The Greek lad Stefanos Tsitsipas is fondly known for his silky long hair. His fans are fond of his girl-like hairdo. Tsitsipas shared he shampoos and conditions his hair before all his matches and it works like a lucky charm to him. “Using the same shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, every single time. Something like that,” Stefanos Tsitstipas said.

A few days ago Tsitsipas tweeted an absurd text which read, “why does hair conditioner look and feels like.. never mind.”

The Japanese ace tennis icon Naomi Osaka retweeted it in a cheeky manner. She wrote: “Mayonnaise. Pls, be talking about mayonnaise.” Following that, Tsitsipas deleted the tweet from is account.

Other players on the ATP Tour also revealed their on-court routines. One of them being, the Serbian ace Novak Djokovic who meditates before his every match, makes his mind light, and then boards onto the tennis venture.

“I do have certain routines before the match. I like to spend time by myself, I like to meditate, I like to have conscious breathing techniques that put me in the zone, analyze my opponents and my own game,” said Novak Djokovic.
