Medvedev and Djokovic both have a lot to achieve at this year’s Australian Open. The Serb will be seeking a record-extending 9th title there and his 18th Grand Slam overall. This would level the gap between him and his fierce rivals – Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
On the other hand, Daniil is seeking his first-ever Grand Slam in Melbourne this year. If he does this, he will join Marat Safin and Yevgeny Kafelnikov as the only Russian men to ever win a Grand Slam title.
