King of Clay, Rafael Nadal, will be back in action, albeit in a slightly different manner. The Spaniard, who recently claimed his 20th Grand Slam title, will hold a golf club as he participates in the Balearic Golf Championship.

Nadal will enter the golf tournament the same weekend that Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem enter the Vienna Open. Out of 60 participants, Nadal will be the one to contest for the tournament. The tournament will commence on October 24 and will get over on October 26.

Following the golf tournament, Nadal will travel to Paris for the Rolex Paris Masters. The Paris Masters will be his penultimate tennis tournament before the ATP Finals in London.

The Spaniard will be hopeful of some great results before he tussles with the top seed for the year-end tournament.

Rafael Nadal and sports apart from tennis

The Spaniard takes a keen interest in sports other than tennis. Apart from indulging in golf, he’s an avid fan of soccer. Nadal is a diehard fan of Real Madrid and his country Spain.

Back in 2010, when Spain won the World Cup, we saw him traveling all the way to South Africa to celebrate their victory. His passion runs deep and time and again, he has mentioned that he would’ve been a professional footballer had he not been into tennis.

Nadal won his thirteenth Roland Garros defeating arch-rival Novak Djokovic in straight sets. The victory is special for Nadal as he claimed his 20th Grand Slam equalling Roger Federer’s record.

The victory was even more special as it was his 100th win in the Roland Garros. While he has been dominating the arena since 2005, he has only been defeated twice in these fifteen years. The title of King of Clay suits him without a doubt.
