World Number eight Serena Williams pulled off a breathtaking win against Greece’s Maria Sakkari during the pre-quarterfinals of US Open 2020. She knocked her out 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, and reserved a historic 53rd Major quarterfinal spot in her career.

Simultaneously, she also attained her 100th win at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. She’s the only tennis player to claim 100 wins on Ashe in the era of modern tennis.

After her historic win, Williams was asked about her thoughts on Novak Djokovic’s disqualification from US Open 2020 after he accidentally hit a ball on the line judge’s throat during his fourth-round match. Serena revealed her thoughts on the controversial decision.
