Former Wimbledon and US Open Champion Quarantined Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

With the world battling against the coronavirus, everyone on the planet has deviated from their regular lifestyle. The passengers across the globe are undergoing quarantines, and a tennis professional is also experiencing the same.
The 2010 Wimbledon and US Open doubles champion Yaroslava Shvedova has been quarantined. The Russian-born Kazakh tennis player Shvedova was flying home from California (after the cancelation of Indian Wells) to Kazakhstan.
But she boarded the flight which earlier carried a passenger from Milan, Italy and who was infected with the coronavirus. As a safety measure, all passengers on the flight from California to Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan have been quarantined. And the three-time Grand Slam quarterfinalist Shvedova is one of them.

Shvedova’s achievements in tennis
Former World Number 25 tennis player Shvedova is famous for pulling off a golden set during Wimbledon 2012. She won a set without losing a single point. The Kazakh did it against Sara Errani and she is one of only seven players to record a golden set in tennis.
During French Open 2010 the unseeded Shedova took out the eighth seed Agnieszka Radwanska in the fourth round. Later in 2012, Shvedova attained her biggest singles win of her career. At French Open, she defeated the defending champion Li Na 3–6, 6–2, 6–0 in the fourth round.

And later progressed to play her second quarterfinals at the Parisian major.
In the doubles domain, Yaroslava Shvedova has won 13 WTA crowns. The record includes her victories at Wimbledon and US Open 2010, where she teamed up with Vania King.

Coronavirus has also forced an untimely break in the tennis world. With the tour being shut down for at least six weeks, the tennis players are dealing with a state of idleness.
