“I Want To Be The Greatest of All Time” – Coco Gauff Makes a Bold Statement

The American tennis phenom Coco Gauff turned 16 on Friday, and before turning 16, she conquered all attention from the tennis world. Coco made her breakthrough on the WTA circuit on the courts of SW19, after she defeated five-time Wimbledon champion, Venus Williams, in the round one match of Wimbledon 2019.
Later, at Australian Open 2020, she once again defeated the seven-time major champion Venus, and in the third round, she dethroned the defending champion Naomi Osaka.
On the occasion of her 16th birthday, a video on the student from Patrick Mouratoglou Coco Gauff was shared. The video depicted an 11-year-old Coco with ambitious dreams.

“I’m Cori Gauff and I’m from Delray Beach, Florida. I am 11 years old and I started tennis when I was 7. I’m funny, I always joke around a lot and I’m very competitive. I want to be the greatest of all time and win many Grand Slams,” said Gauff.

As a 15-year-old Gauff defeated the former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko in the finals of Linz Open and lifted her first WTA title of the career in Austria.
Gauff further talked about her birthday plans.“My Sweet 16 won’t be big compared to other Sweet 16s, but big for me,” World Number 52 Gauff told Tennis.com. “The date is definitely going to be moved up. I was going to have to celebrate it in April. But I’ll probably move it up to this week, or next week.”

But, fate had at its own plans. One coronavirus case in the whereabouts of the Tennis Paradise led to the cancelation of the tournament.
