23-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams, has a decade long relationship with Stuart Weitzman. They manufacture luxury shoes, which Williams uses regularly, and are based out of New York, USA. Furthermore, she also shares a sentimental equation with the brand as both of them share the initials ‘SW’.

“I’ve been wearing [Stuart Weitzman shoes] for probably over a decade now, and they’re a real staple in my closet. Most of all… it’s SW and it has my initials,” she said.

Recently, former World Number one Serena Williams was appointed to the title of global spokeswoman for Stuart Weitzman. She will feature in their 2020 ad campaign, which holds a chief focus on ‘women as pillars of hope.’

Weitzman’s campaign is part of a philanthropic partnership with Vital Voices Global Partnership. And along with Williams, they have selected two more women leaders. They are Sage Ke’alohilani Quiamno (cofounder of Future for Us) and Ashlee Wisdom (founder of Health in Her Hue).

“I worked and finished this exciting project with Stuart Weitzman at the beginning of this year. Now we can’t hold it in anymore! I hope through this campaign and Stuart Weitzman’s partnership with Vital Voices. We can share a message of hope and optimism,” Williams said.

On the WTA circuit, Williams last played at Australian Open 2020 where she upset in the third round by China’s Qiang Wang. Later, she represented the US and helped them to qualify for Fed Cup 2020 finals. Presently, with the tour being under suspension, Williams is spending quality time with her family in Florida.
