Vasek Pospisil recently appeared on a podcast by Futuri Media where he talked about many things. One of those things was about his reaction to COVID-19 cases that were caused by the Adria Tour and what it means for tennis in the remaining part of 2020. He said,

“The optics are not great. It looked like it was an amazing event and it was going to be successful. But obviously, you hate to see something like that happen. At this point, it is a tough situation for sure and I think it affects the upcoming events. These are the first high-profile tennis players to get infected and it will have an impact going forward. Ultimately, we will have to see how the events react to this but who knows if this is going to be the end of the season.”

Hopefully, that is something that is not going to happen. The ATP has not announced any major changes to Tour because of the tennis players testing positive. So, we can expect the events to take place as per the revised schedule put out by the ATP very recently.
While that is certainly great, it is not going to be the most important thing in people’s minds. They are going to be hoping that the players who were infected due to the Tour will recover extremely fast so that they will be ready to play the Tour when it returns in August. Hopefully, that is exactly what happens.
