Canada’s star Vasek Pospisil has been in the limelight recently for matters with regards to out of the court. Vasek has been distancing himself from the ATP Players council citing they are ‘not for all’ the players. He felt there was an injustice done to players who did not belong to the elite group.

Not so long ago, on the eve of the US Open this year, Vasek joined Novak Djokovic and formed the PTPA (Professional Tennis Players Association). They created this organization in hope of voicing the opinion of other players. 

Vasek Pospisil: ATP Is Playing Dirty Politics

Recently while speaking to Pospisil he said, “I’m a man of principle, and when I could see how things were being run, and a lot of times dirty politics and most players were being lied to and brainwashed…” “it needs to be cleaned up, and reality is that it’s hurting the players.”

In an interesting run into events, Pospisil and Djokovic were nominated by players to join the ATP Players council again. However, the new rule prevents any player from being part of two active organizations simultaneously.

Pospisil Has a Versatile Game

Speaking of Pospil’s performances on the court, he’s made it to the quarter-finals at the 2015 Wimbledon, which was his best performance in a grand slam singles event. Nonetheless, the Canadian has had greater success in doubles. Fans would remember his partnership with Jack Sock in which they lifted the trophy after winning the final at Wimbledon in 2014. They beat the Bryan brothers in a 5-set epic match. Since then, not much has gone in his favor. Inconsistent performances along with surgery on his back did take an effect on his results.
