Sean O’Malley sat down to discuss all things UFC. He discussed UFC 249, its current uncertainty and also talks about Henry Cejudo and a possible fight with him.

Henry Cejudo recently went out and called Dominick Cruz out. He did this in order to make sure he still has the main event at UFC 250. Khabib is stuck in Russia. He is most probably not going to be able to make it to UFC 249. Henry Cejudo called out Cruiz just in case the same happens with Jose Aldo. Aldo might be stuck in Brazil, keeping in mind all the travel bans in place.

Dominick Cruiz last contended in December of 2016. Domnick Cruz still might get a title shot despite his long term absence. In the interview, O’Malley and Ariel Helwani discussed all the other possible bantamweight fighters that might suit Cejudo. In the middle of this Ariel also tossed in O’Malley’s name.

Sean O’Malley on possibly Fighting Henry Cejudo

O’Malley reacted as we expected. He said, “I’d step up. But I don’t think he’d want that. I know it sounds silly, I have only 3 fights in the UFC. I’m not even ranked or nothing. This is not a good matchup.” He also joked about Cejudo’s height and said, “ I’m 5’11 and he 5’2.” He’s of the idea that Cejudo wouldn’t agree to fight him just because of the matchup.
