“Second leading run-scorer in what has been a truly dramatic decade. He’s the man, isn’t he? No one would argue with that take,” Dan Nocross said while naming him.

Probably one of the most straight-forward picks was picking Virat Kohli. With over 11,000 runs and 43 hundreds, his record speaks in itself, making him an unequivocal selection.

Another Indian in  the team was former captain MS Dhoni. Dhoni has been a one of the greatest finishers in One Day Interntaional cricket, and he has won a lot of games for India. To add to it, the quickness of his hands behind the stumps would be matched by very few others.

“MS Dhoni averages 103 in successful run chases. Four games in his career he’s been not out when they haven’t won. If you’re talking about transformative cricketers, then Dhoni has redefined how to finish 50-over games of cricket,” Phil Walker said of Dhoni in the podcast..

Australian opener David Warner found himself partnering Rohit Sharma as the other opener. With close to 5000 wins in just over a 100 ODIs, Warner has been great at the top of the order for Australia.

AB de Villiers and Jos Butler filled the other batting positions, while Shakib Al Hasan filled the all-rounder as well as the spinners spot. The four fast bowlers included Dale Steyn, Trent Boult, Lasith Malinga and Mitchell Starc.
