Deadline day is the most hectic day of the year in the footballing calendar. As the transfer window heads to culmination, clubs scramble to get deals over the line. The summer of 2017 didn’t turn out to be different as the deadline day saw clubs work their hearts off to seal the players their clubs desperately needed. There were some big players making the move and here are the biggest deals Europe.

Kylian Mbappe– Ever since he took the Champions League by storm, every single top club in the continent had their eyes on the 18-year-old. The dazzling French man had attention from the biggest of clubs but it was Paris Saint Germain who got the nod for the player. The deal which is a loan deal to start off with has a provision for them to buy him next season. If the permanent transfer does go through next season it will see Mbappe becoming the second most expensive player in the world as things stand.

Sergio Aurier-  With the high profile signings of Neymar and Mbappe, it was only Natural that Paris Saint Germain will see a large exodus to balance their books. One of the big deals in it was that of right back Sergio Aurier. The Ivorian’s future was in doubt due to a criminal case against him preventing him from getting a UK visa. As soon as he cleared the legal disruptions, Tottenham Hotspur rushed on to complete the deal. The deal valued at £23m could turn out to be one of the coups of the summer transfer window for one of the best fullbacks in the world.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain- A player who was on the transfer radar for the whole summer finally got his transfer on deadline day. The English international was quite evidently looking for a move and his decision to reject a big money contract extension. He was initially all set to move to the champions Chelsea but rejected the chance to sign for them due to positional issues. He felt Liverpool will give him a chance to play in his favoured Centre Midfield position and moved to Merseyside for £35m.

Renato Sanches- Certainly the shock deal of not just deadline day but the summer transfer window. The highly rated Portuguese midfielder got a big money move to Bayern Munich last year after having impressed the world for Benfica and then starring in Portugal’s Euro wins. The 20-year-old failed to make a mark around the high profile names at the Allianz Arena. Though Sanches was linked with moves to many big teams, it’s Swansea who have pulled the rabbit of the hat by signing him on loan. Carlo Ancelloti will hope his former aid, Pual Clement can help the player achieve his potential.

Fernando Llorente- Not the most high profile deal to have happened but could turn to be a very effective one.  A major area of concern for  Tottenham Hotspur through the entire of last summer was having a deputy to Hary Kane as Vincent Jannsen spectacularly failed. The 32 year Spaniard could turn to be the perfect back up as it is evident by how effective he was for Swansea last season. Spurs can claim to have a moral victory as they snatched the players from right under arch rivals Chelsea’s nose for £15m.
