An incredible five-set enthralling championship match took place on Wimbledon’s Centre Court. Novak Djokovic lifted his fifth Wimbledon crown and declares himself to be the 16-time Grand Slam champion after a 7-6(5), 1-6, 7-6(4), 4-6, 13-12(3)  win over Roger Federer. The Swiss squandered two championship points in the final set and Djokovic managed to bounce back from that break.

It was the first time ever in the history of Wimbledon a tiebreaker was played in the final set. And Djokovic became the first player in 71 years to win the championship match after saving match points.
