Talking about his win against Perry, Geoff Neal said:

“That was my plan. I wanted to be the first to put him away with my hands, not with submissions. I got the job done.”

With this win, Neal is on a 5 fight win streak now and is a strong contender for the title. However, he believes that he needs a few more wins under his belt before he can get a title shot. Neal stated:

“Honestly, I need atleast 2 or 3 more fights before I can put myself up there to be ready for the belt. I think I am close though.”

On the other hand, this was another loss for Mike Perry after his loss to Vicente Luque by a close decision. Perry needs to turn things around for sure if he aims to hang out with the most talent stacked division in the UFC, which is the welterweight division.
