UFC 245: Urijah Faber vs Petr Yan Prediction
In a recent interview with ScoreMMA, UFC fighters gave their predictions on the fight. UFC heavyweight, Curtis Blaydes seems to be leaning towards Petr Yan. Blaydes stated:
“I am a big fan of Urijah. He is an OG. But after watching Peter Yan he is a classic Russian technician. He reminds me of Valentina Shevchenko. He is very good everywhere. He does not have any holes, he is sharp defense and head movement. I don’t see how he loses this. So I am going with Peter.”

At his age what he has done, he had the opportunities, and he never quite became a champ. That would be cool to see Faber get it done and get a title shot.” said Simon.

“Urijah had a long time layoff and he is coming back right now at 40 something. He shows in the last fight against Rick Simon that he belongs there. he is a veteran. Petr Yan is tough too. Anything can happen in the fight. Urijah has way more experience than Yan. I think the experience counts a lot. but also Petr Yan is a fresh fighter. He shows some skills and has power.”
It’s hard to count out the experience of Urijah Faber has, but at the same time, his long layoff before the fight with Ricky Simon might play a crucial role against a high ranked bantamweight, Petr Yan. It would be intriguing to see whether he can bring his best game against Petr Yan at UFC 245.
