Conor McGregor Reveals How He Will Celebrate his Win Over Donald Cerrone

Conor McGregor takes on Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246. This fight will mark the return of the Notorious One ever since he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov in one of the biggest grudge matches. And when Conor McGregor is in town for a fight, you can not help but talk about the revenue and fans he brings in.

Conor McGregor has been away from the sport for a meaningful period, which led some to believe that he will not have the star attraction when he returns to the octagon. However, that notion is very far from the truth as the tickets for UFC 246 were sold out in minutes and the gate for the PPV was estimated to be more than $10 million.

Besides that, Conor recently claimed that his estimated fight purse for UFC 246 is about $80 million. Considering he got $50 million for his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, it seems Conor has become even a bigger star than he ever was. Also looking at Conor’s estimated fight purse it is safe to assume that Cowboy will be getting the biggest paycheck of his MMA career too.

In a recent interview, when a reporter brought up the fight purse that Cerrone is going to receive for UFC 246 and “the red panty nights” that comes along with it, Conor seemed a bit confused in the beginning, but then laugh at the term that he coined many years ago.

“They will celebrate that win or lose. I am gonna have a good night I have stained from my Proper 12 whiskey for good while now, I think 5 or 6 months that must be at this stage. it feels like six years but I will have a good night a few sips and then I spend the next day with my family and the kids and then just regroup and get back into training.”

Conor also stated that every night is a red panty night for him even if he is not fighting.

Conor McGregor Explains Why Donald Cerrone For his Octagon Return

Talking about why Donald Cerrone instead of a top contender like Justine Gaethje for his return fight, Conor said:

“Me and Donald have a history for many years. It’s been a fight that’s been real word and it was gonna happen and then the Diaz fight happened. (We) just have a history together me and Donald. It’s an inevitable bout. He has had some phenomenal records under his belts, most rights, most rounds, most head kick knockouts, most bonuses, he is deserving of this opportunity.”
