UFC 246: Conor McGregor vs Donald Cerrone Fight Card and Preview

UFC President, Dana White presented the fights fans a huge gift when he announced the return of Conor McGregor on January 18th. The former champion will step into the octagon against Donald Cerrone in a welterweight bout. However, apart from Conor McGregor vs Donald Cerrone UFC 246 has a few more intriguing fights for the fans. Former champion, Anthony Pettis is going to fight Diego Ferreira and Maycee Barber will face Roxanne Modafferi on the main card of UFC 246.

After an unsuccessful run in the welterweight division, Anthony Pettis will be coming back to lightweight division against Diego Ferreira. Pettis had one win over Stephen Thompson and one loss against Nate Diaz in his welterweight run. He got dominated by Diaz, an outcome that might have forced him to go back to the lightweight division. However, there were plenty of other matches that could have made more sense than the fight with Ferreira. A fight with Edson Barboza, or with Al Iaquinta makes sense considering both of them are coming from a loss. However, it is still an intriguing fight for the fans.

In Women’s flyweight division, the unbeaten, Maycee Barber takes on ranked number 8, Roxanne Modafferi. While Modafferi is coming from a loss against Jennifer Maia, Mayce Barbe is on an unbeaten streak in his MMA career. Barber is chasing her dream of being the youngest UFC champion ever and a win over Roxanne Modafferi will certainly help her move up the ladder.

UFC middleweight, Darren Till recently called out the former champion, Robert Whittaker for the co-main event of UFC 246. Both fo these fighters have already agreed to fight each other although it has not been official yet. Whittaker has said that he is willing to fight Till probably in March or April, however, if this fight becomes the co-main event UFC 246 will be a must-watch PPV for the fans.
