Several fighters have stepped up after news of Khabib’s inability to leave Russia. Former interim-lightweight champion, Dustin Poirier happens to be one of them. Diamond, in conversation with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, talks about his weight ahead of UFC 249.

Diamond is currently weight at “about low 80s”, he tells Helwani when asked about his weight. This means he has a lot o work cut out for him if he has to take on someone at 155lbs. However, Poirier seems very confident about making weight if he has to.

“I can make 155, April 18. If I have to. After my weight-cut when I was [to fight] Cub Swanson, with only me, Mike Brown and my boxing coach Dyah Davis in my corner in London, England. I should up, fight week, 176lbs and made 146. I can make it.”- Dustin Poirier
