Henry Cejudo Agrees to Fight WBC Champion Ryan Garcia in a Boxing Match
Despite having hung his gloves up, following his win over Dominick Cruz, Henry Cejudo might yet have some fight left in him. Towards the end of the night at UFC 249, The Messenger revealed that he will be bowing out of combat sports for good.
However, Cejudo might just go back to fighting ways to teach someone a lesson. That someone being the 21-year-old Ryan Garcia.
Following his triumph over Cruz, Triple C found himself beefing with a boxing prodigy via social media. After witnessing their virtual battle, it seems like Cejudo might be looking into his next line of work already.

Ryan Garcia lit the initial match to set things in motion for a potential cross-over fight. Garcia took to social media to ask his fans if The King of Cringe could hold his own against Garcia in the boxing ring.
“You think @HenryCejudo would give me a good fight in the boxing ring?” said Garcia in a post on Twitter.
Henry Cejudo, not one to back down from a fight, be it virtual or in the cage, was quick to issue a response. However, the Olympic medallist’s response was more like a threat or a warning.
“Get the hell out of here you Oscar De La Hoya wannabe. I’d make you bend the knee in your own sport! @danawhite Allow me to fry this fish!” said the ever-confident King of Cringe.

Ryan Garcia sends Henry Cejudo a warning in return
Just like Cejudo, Garcia was quick with a response, warning him to avoid making the same mistake as Conor McGregor. Referring to the time when the Irishman challenged the undefeated Floyd Mayweather in 2017 and got knocked out.
Garcia eventually went on to take personal shots at Cejudo, joking about his height (5’4) before seemingly getting on with his other business.
