After the notorious return of Conor McGregor, the question the fans have been asking is who is next for Conor. Is Conor going to wait and fight the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson? Is Conor going to take on Justin Gaethje? or Is helooking for a long-awaited trilogy fight with Nate Diaz? There are some very interesting matchups ahead of Conor at the moment. However, the majority of the fans want the BMF showdown between Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal.

Jorge Masvidal has been campaigning for this fight for a meaningful period. Masvidal showed up at UFC 246 in a similar Versace robe that Conor was seen during his open workout before Floyd Mayweather fight. Masvidal was expecting an outcome that was similar to UFC 241 when Nate Diaz called out Masvidal after beating Anthony Pettis. However, the BMF was disappointed after Conor’s vague post-fight callout.

And now Masvidal believes that Conor does not want the fight. In fact, he also stated that Conor is not ready yet to take on the Baddest Mother Fu***r.

Jorge Masvidal Claims Conor McGregor is Not Ready

In a recent interview on “Le Batard and Friends” podcast, Masvidal talked about the potential fight with Conor McGregor. Masvidal addressed the post-fight callout by Conor and stated:

“He’s talking a lot of sh*t. But it’s all sh*t cause he doesn’t want this. He could have cut the sickest promo — he could have cut the sickest promo of life. Had everybody extra wanting it and talking about it. We kind of understand where they’re going.”

Though Conor dominated Donald Cerrone from start to finish, Masvidal is not convinced that Conor is ready yet to take on the real challenges at the welterweight division.

“Conor, he’s been out for a while and we’re asking him to come up to another weight class that isn’t his and fight the baddest motherf*cker in that f*cking weight class. Let the guy get into his groove. When he finds his groove and space, I’ll still be at the top winning. He can come knocking on my door then.” explained Masvidal.

The BMF Keeps the Door Open for Conor

Jorge Masvidal is in no rush to fight Conor McGregor as he is willing to choose the title fight with Kamaru Usman if Conor does not fight him. But whenever Conor is ready to test himself against the welterweight elites, Masvidal will be at the top of the welterweight division waiting for him. “Go back in there, find your timing, when you feel you’re ready for the challenge, we do it. There’s no rush,” stated Masvidal.
