Daniel Cormier Reveals the Only Way Jon Jones Might Lose Inside the Octagon

The rivalry between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier is one of the biggest rivalries in the history of the sport. Though Jon Jones defeated Daniel Cormier both the times, the failed drug tests by Jones have raised a few questions around the legitimacy of the wins that Jones has over Cormier. However, even with the bad blood between them, Cormier believes Jon Jones is one of the best fighters to ever do it.
Cormier has stated on multiple occasions that Jones is arguably unbeatable at the light heavyweight division. Even with the emergence of some tough contenders, Cormier does not see Jones losing his title anytime soon. In a recent interview with BT Sport, Cormier talked about Jon Jones moving to the heavyweight division.

Who is Going to Beat Jon Jones?
Daniel Cormier believes that Jones is hesitant to make the move to the heavyweight division, but he will move up eventually. And that’s where Jones might suffer his first loss.
Jon Jones has fought legends and fighters over multiple generations and has managed to dominate them all. There were a couple of bouts in which he won via split decision but he still stands tall as the undefeated light heavyweight champion if you don’t consider the loss to Matt Hammill.

However, DC believes someone in the heavyweight division can shut the lights out for Jones and that is the only way he sees Jones losing inside the octagon. Cormier explained:

“I don’t know who beats Jon Jones. Obviously, you guys know my feelings towards him. But he is good, man. I think it’s gonna take a heavyweight. It will be one of those guys. Those big big guys that will shut the lights out.”

Cormier’s legacy will go down as one of the greatest mixed martial artists to ever step into the octagon. he has achieved some marvelous things in the sport. Yet he was not able to come out victorious against Jones in the first two encounters. And he believes that the contenders at current light heavyweight division won’t be able to overcome Jones.
“I just don’t know if those guys can beat Jones over 25 minutes. He is a good fighter. He has so many weapons. Look at me. I feel I am one of the greatest fighters of all time and he beat me twice. That says a lot about who he is.”
