Jan Blachowicz was able to stop Corey Anderson in the very first round at UFC Fight Night 167 and he believes that he has done enough to be next in line for a title shot.

Blachowicz put Corey Anderson to sleep at UFC Rio Rancho. He landed a devastating punch that put Anderson on the mat and followed with a ground strike, which completely knocked out Anderson. Luckily for Blachowicz, the light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones was cageside witnessing the action.

Anderson and Blachowicz first fought in 2015, in which Blachowicz lost. However, he was able to avenge his loss in a rematch.

Blachowicz also appeared on the ESPN+ Post Fight Show where he asked Jon Jones to give him the date and place. Blachowicz also said that if UFC goes with jones vs Reyes 2 next then he is willing to wait for his turn at the title, but “not too long”. The Polish Fighter stated that his team will get in touch with UFC soon to try and get the Jones fight next.

Although the fight did not last long, a lot was going on behind the scenes. When Blachowicz and Anderson first fought in 2015, Blachowicz got dominated by Anderson for the majority of the fight. But since then, he has improved a lot. He credits his team for his achievements. Blachowicz also mentioned that he worked on his cardio by training well ahead of the fight in New Mexico.
