With mere hours left for his standoff against Corey Anderson, Jan Blachowicz stated that he wants to avenge his loss to Anderson.
The upcoming fixture at UFC Fight Night 167 holds immense importance for both Jan and Corey. The winner has a huge possibility of being present in the octagon at the next title match. Jan and Corey currently rank #5 and #6 respectively in the UFC Lightweight Division. Facing Jon Jones will be a huge addition to both the players’ mantelpieces.

“Sometimes fights go like this, but it’s important to win fights like this. ‘Jacare’ was really good. He had good tactics for me. I don’t feel with this style I could punch him like I would like to do. It was a boring fight, but there’s something inside me that I want to do the next fight so quick because I know I can do better.”
Jan Blachowicz had lost his previous match against Corey Anderson. In a fight that lasted the length of 3 rounds, Corey Anderson won by decision. Anderson had overpowered Blachowicz in all aspects of fighting and Blachowicz claimed that that is one fight he’ll never forget.
“After two minutes of the fight, I was completely exhausted,” Blachowicz said. “He got lucky in this day four years ago. It was my worst shape ever. That’s it.”
Blachowicz accepts complete responsibility for his last defeat but also promises a win this time around. In fact, he has even better and rather interesting plans already carved out for what he will do when he does defeat Anderson.
I Want to be The First to Beat Jon Jones: Jan Blachowicz
Sharing the map he had all planned out for his future, Jan Blachowicz said that he wanted to be the first to beat Jon Jones. With the too-close-for-comfort victory that Jones scored at UFC 247, it seems logical that he should be wary of constantly improving fighters like Jan.

“I would like to be the first guy to beat Jon Jones,” Blachowicz said. “After the Corey fight, I think I’m going to be the next contender for the title. I will prove it with Corey Anderson that my next fight will be a title shot. First of all, I focus only on Corey. After that, I think I will have done enough to get the title shot.”
Regarding his fight with Corey, Jan seems confident of his prowess. He stated that his skills, especially wrestling, have improved a lot since the last time the two fought. Yet, experts unanimously predict that Corey will have the upper hand at the approaching fixture.
