UFC middleweight Derek Brunson hilariously called upon Detroit Urban Survival Training guru Dale Brown to corner him in his next fight. Is this a foreshadowing to a full-time UFC career?

Viral internet sensation Dale Brown became a social media star with videos of him teaching people self-defense tricks. Although he was teaching an important skill, some of his audience dismissed him as a trainer, citing his impractical tactics as the reason.

Meanwhile, all hell broke loose when “KO of the year” Joaquin Buckley brought Brown to his corner at UFC Vegas 48. And now, another fighter wants the same.

Former UFC middleweight title challenger, Derek Brunson, mentioned on his Twitter that he wants to add Dale Brown to his corner. This came after Brown led Joaquin ‘New Mansa’ Buckley to a successful split decision win against Abdul Razak Alhassan.

“Time to go streaking again. Corner set 😂,” Derek Brunson wrote on Twitter.

“I need to add Dale Brown to my corner . #DetroitSurvival 😂💯,” said Brunson.

While the Dale Brown saga is a hilarious addition to the premiere promotion, many believe this meme-inspired routine should not be continued. And by many, we mean former UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping.

Michael Bisping believes Dale Brown should not be encouraged as a UFC coach

Dale Brown first got connected to the UFC, when heavyweight title contender Tai Tuivasa shared a photoshopped image of the internet-famous entity and challenged him to a fight. “Everyone wants to fight @jakepaul but I wanna fight this gammon c*nt !!” Tuivasa wrote in his Instagram handle.

However, now, Brown has set himself up as a proper UFC entity with a coaching win registered to his name. And with Derek Brunson also calling him up, it is probably only a matter of time until he becomes a staple at the Las Vegas-based MMA promotion. But UFC legend Michael Bisping doesn’t want fight fans to encourage him as a coach.

‘The Count’ told the same to a fan on Twitter. “Y’all better put some respect on Detroit self defense king, Dale Brown name. He’s an undefeated UFC coach,” a fan wrote. In reply, Bisping said, “Please don’t encourage this.”
