The writing was on the wall for a long time for the UFC star Darren Till. The British star struggled for eternity to return to the winner’s column as his performances inside the Octagon deteriorated. Despite his hard-fought win against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244, his recent UFC record is nothing to boast about. In a span of almost 4 years, ‘The Gorilla’ could only muster a single win in his 6 outings to the Octagon. Therefore, his recent release from the UFC roaster might not have come as a shock to a few fans. However, the Liverpool-born disclosed a distinct set of reasons for his release.

Notably, the 30-year-old struggled with his form since his fight with Tyron Woodley with the UFC gold at stake on UFC 228. His last fight against Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 282 also didn’t produce a favorable result. Despite these recent results, the Liverpudlian had “big plans to execute” as he himself excused from the fighting duties.
