Commentator Joe Rogan Makes His Verdict on UFC 282 Controversial Decision Super Clear

The UFC fans witnessed a stellar main event as the fight was delivered as promised. Although the fight did not yield a winner, the fans witnessed two light heavyweights putting on a show. The bout had the fans split in choices of the winner and UFC commentator Joe Rogan had his own verdict. Rogan is not new to controversial and bold statements and the UFC 282 interview was a witness to the same.

Magomed Ankalaev became emotional after the fight. The Russian believed that despite the setbacks, he performed well to deserve the win. According to the Russian, he came out as the winner of the fight with Blachowicz. The UFC commentator also agreed to the points laid by the Russian fighter.

Joe Rogan gives his verdict

Joe Rogan was of the opinion that the Russian fighter looked certain of the victory. However, to everyone’s astonishment, that was not the case. While interviewing Ankalaev, Rogan said, “We thought that you won the fight.”

Jan Blachowicz, after the fight against Magomed Ankalaev, made an honorable claim. According to him, it is his Russian counterpart that should have his hand raised. ‘The Polish powerhouse’ said, “Give the belt to [Magomed] Ankalaev.

After making the claim that the title should be given to Ankalaev, Rogan had a heartwarming reaction to Blachowicz. Joe Rogan went on to declare that “Jan Blachowicz is an honorable man ladies and gentlemen. How about a round of applause for Jan Blachowicz?”

During the interview with Rogan, Blachowicz also admitted that he was not sure of the winner. Blachowicz said “I have to watch the fight but for sure I don’t won the fight. I don’t lose the fight. But for sure I’m not the winner. I have to watch the fight….I’m not the judge.”

On the thought of the rematch, Blachowicz opined that he needs preparation for a five-round fight. He also said that his wrestling was better than the last fight. However, he said that he needs improvement on that front.

However, the Polish powerhouse is not the only honorable fighter in the light heavyweight division. Jiri Prochazka made a respectful choice when he suffered a shoulder injury and subsequently vacated his title.

This admission of losing might have led Blachowicz to lose out on the rematch and potential title shot. Joe Rogan might have just led the Polish fighter to make statements that he might regret later.
