Conor McGregor Gets Back at Nate Diaz’s Savage Rebuttal to Slap Fight Challenge

Conor McGregor is one of the most coveted names in the entire UFC. ‘The Irishman’ boasts unmatched fame due to his stupendous, in-ring, striking, and brash attitude outside the Octagon. McGregor’s amazing left-hand strikes have been a problem for many of his adversaries. But, they couldn’t take out ‘The Stockton Gangster’ Nate Diaz. ‘The Californian’ was the first fighter who subjected ‘The Notorious’ to his first UFC loss. The first McGregor vs. Diaz bout created massive headlines with the entire teams of both fighters getting involved in a pre-fight altercation.
Six years after their official bout, it may be said that some elements of the rivalry between the two remain to date. Recently, McGregor has been getting in on the hype of slap-fighting. Hence, he also intended to fight in them and called out ‘The Stockton Slapper’ Diaz, to a ‘slap-fight’. Diaz refused McGregor’s offer, implying that he had already defeated McGregor in this game. But ‘The Irishman’ once more fired at ‘Nick Diaz’s brother’ with a tweet, which implied that he had drawn things level.

It was McGregor who initiated the negotiation for a future ‘slap-fight’ with Diaz. He also showed no half-measures, intending that it would be a title fight. His tweet regarding this read, “Me Vs Nate on it for the title hahahaha maybe that’s a title you’d have a better chance of coming close to winning Nate you little slapper hahahaha”

But ‘The Stockton Gangster’ showcased his brash attitude once more and refused McGregor’s offer. He also put out a tweet mentioning ‘Mystic Mac’ in it. Diaz implied that he had already got the better of McGregor in the genre of slapping.

Diaz also provided proof of his victory over McGregor in slapping as he added a segment of his first fight against the Irishman. It showcased McGregor wobbling due to a couple of heavy slaps from Diaz. His tweet read, “I already beat you at that game too”.

The waving emoji at the end of the caption implied that it was a goodbye from his side, since he wasn’t into McGregor’s challenge.
Conor McGregor didn’t accept losing an online scuffle
The video snippet attached to Diaz’s tweet was from the first McGregor vs Diaz fight, which Diaz had bagged. But ‘Mystic Mac’ successfully overturned things in their second face-off, defeating Diaz via a unanimous decision.
McGregor used the same incident to fire back at Diaz. He retweeted Diaz’s post along with a caption reading, “Got you back with concussions. Real smacks.”

There were quite a few varied opinions about who had won the second matchup between McGregor and Diaz. But, the official scores inside the Octagon are very much level between the two legends of the sport.
