Conor McGregor Reacts As Teammate Danni McCormack Becomes First-Ever “Irish MMA World Champion” in Invicta at Invicta FC 52

Conor McGregor is undeniably proud of his Irish lineage. His pride and patriotism splash from the whiskey he manufactures to the tricolor he wears inside the Octagon. Furthermore, his joy seemingly knows no bound when a fellow mixed martial artist from Ireland secures victory and is declared the world champion.

Recently, McGregor’s teammate, Danni McCormack, secured a commendable victory over Valesca Machado, in the main event of Invicta FC 52, and became the first Irish to become the Invicta strawweight champion. Without a doubt, the former UFC two-division champion felt overjoyed and shared his happiness on social media. He congratulated McCormack with immense pride in his heart. On top of that, the SBG coach, John Kavanagh, also celebrated the Irish woman’s victory. Nevertheless, the joy and pride in the hearts of the Irish people have sky-rocketed with McCormack’s latest achievement.

In the main event of Invicta FC 52, McCormack secured a victory against Machado and became the first-ever Irish Invicta champion. Without wasting any time, the former UFC double champion and his coach took to social media and congratulated the newly declared strawweight champion. On Twitter, McGregor wrote, “Incredible! Danni McCormack just became the first ever Irish Invicta FC Champion! On her birthday no less. Congrats to you Danni, congrats to Coach Kav and congrats to Ireland. We got another one!”

McCormack then replied to the ‘Mystic Man’ and wrote, “Thank you! Blazed a road for us all.” Unquestionably, the moment was etched in the fighter’s heart in golden ink.

Moreover, Kavanagh didn’t leave any chance to share his feelings. He took to Instagram and shared a video where McCormack was being declared the winner.

The coach captioned, “Ireland’s FIRST @invictafc WORLD CHAMPION. Take a bow @danni_mccormack and welcome to the SBG team Joe.” Additionally, ‘The Notorious’ shared Kavanagh’s post as his Instagram Story and showed extra support to the new champion.

Previously in 2020, in an interview with Tony Robbins, the ‘Mystic Man’ declared himself to be an ‘Irish Animal’. Undoubtedly, the act seemed to impress Robbins, along with the Irish people. 

McGregor proudly revealed that he was figuring out his rituals. However, he was not oblivious to his achievements. He claimed that he had opened a pathway for his people. Surprisingly, with McCormack’s victory, the words seem to be taking effect.
