This time, the Notorious one broke into news headlines when he saved Straight Blast Gym, Portarlington which was shutting down its operations forever.

Conor McGregor is the biggest fighter to come out of the SBG chain of gyms. As soon as Philip Mulpeter, owner of SBG Portarlington, took to Instagram about the gym’s closure, the Notorious one couldn’t hold back and had to help his compatriot.

As this news reached out to Mulpeter, he sprinted to Instagram once again to share this surreal news with its members.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been grilling for gyms and fitness centers surrounding the world. It forced a lot of these havens to close down for good because of a lack of financial support.

However, in times like these, athletes like Conor McGregor truly set an example for every individual out there. Every sizeable athlete or sports person should pledge to save such fitness centers that contribute to the health and wellbeing of their nation.

This is not the only time when the former UFC double champ has stepped up to save his Irish mates. In tough COVID times too, McGregor donated a whopping €1 million worth of protective equipment to hospitals in their battle against the ongoing pandemic.
