“Excellent Stuff”: Conor McGregor Reacts to Noble Cause From Longtime Coach John Kavanagh

John Kavanagh a.k.a Coach Kavanagh is not just a highly respected and skilled coach, but also a shining example of a great human being. Recently, Kavanagh took time out of his busy schedule to give back to the community. Coach Kavanagh, who is the founder of Straight Blast Gym Ireland and a pioneer in the sport of mixed martial arts in the country, volunteered to provide a free MMA lesson to a non-profit organization. This Garda-backed organization, which focuses on providing support and assistance to children facing cancer and their families, was thrilled to have Coach Kavanagh share his expertise and experience with their members. In response to it, Conor McGregor gave his longtime coach’s heroic deed the highest accolades possible in response.
Coaching for a good cause
After coming back from Brazil after attending UFC 283 to corner his protégé, Johnny Walker, in his big fight, Coach Kavanagh went straight back to supporting a noble cause in his hometown. The 46-year-old collaborated with the non-profit organization, ‘Little Blue Heroes’ and provided its member with a free training session under his gym.

The non-profit itself also sent him a heartfelt message of appreciation via an Instagram post. Additionally, his long-time protégé and UFC superstar Conor McGregor also commended him for this kind deed and wrote, “Excellent stuff coach!”
Speaking of this duo, the Coach recently answered the million-dollar question about Conor McGregor‘s comeback. Furthermore, if he makes a remark on it, it can be trusted. And it seems like we may finally hear some positive news about the much-anticipated comeback of ‘The Notorious’.
Coach Kavanagh promises an ‘interesting’ Conor McGregor return
Coach Kavanagh recently spoke with Ariel Helwani and he was bound to answer the question about Conor McGregor‘s comeback. Upon being asked about it, Kavanagh answered, “I’d be willing to bet my house on it,”. He also talked about what to expect with McGregor‘s comeback and who he should face.

Kavanagh further added, “Yeah, I think there’s some interesting negotiations going along now. I absolutely can’t say anything beyond that, but I’m very, very confident that we’ll see Conor back in the octagon this year.”
Speaking of who he’d like to see the Irishman fight, the coach said, “You’ve got the great Nate Diaz is obviously in there… Justin Gaethje would be a very interesting matchup, somebody he hasn’t fought before. The (Dustin) Poirier fight, we’ve done that so many times at this stage and it’s just a weird one. Michael Chandler, a great fighter, a great athlete. They’re all brilliant. They’re all going to bring something different to the contest.”
