But while most of the attention must have been gratifying for the Straw-weight, it seems she also had to face a few not-so-positive experiences.

Since fame comes with its own downsides, Ricci has clearly been acquainted with it quite early in her public life. While expressing her disappointment, the fighter recently shared a screenshot of a DM she had received from a fan. This ‘fan’ had quite a weird request for the Brazilian, and upon sharing the screenshot, Ricci’s fans were quick to sympathize with her.

For the fighter, it looks like the popularity gained from being a part of a massively successful event that had the likes of Jon Jones in it, also came with a few unpleasant drawbacks too. Sharing a snapshot of her inbox, Ricci exposed a message she received from an undisclosed individual. And this message had one of the weirdest requests that someone could expect from a random stranger. This individual, while claiming he’d do anything, wanted the fighter to share an image of her feet and shoes.

Well, Ricci, naturally in her disgust, shared the snapshot, expressing her shock.

And UFC 285 gave her the perfect opportunity as she finished veteran Jessica Penne by submission. This win helped her move up to eight career wins, with this being the third in the promotion.

Currently ranked 15th in the women’s strawweight division, Ricci will now be expected to make the most of the spotlight. A couple of wins over the next few months could eventually see her breaking into the higher echelons of the rankings.
