Jon Jones has announced his goals for 2023 in style. He posted a Tweet that has attracted the attention of experts. Jon Jones is sitting at a stellar career record that reads 26-1-0. The Light Heavyweight fighter was once the interim champion but has not achieved his potential since then. He is currently languishing at #13 in pound-for-pound rankings. Jones has now announced his aspirations for 2023 and it has excited fans and experts alike.

Speculations are ripe that Jon Jones may start his year with a blockbuster fight against Francis Ngannou. Jones will be expecting a strong start to the year if he has to get a title shot this year.

Jon Jones’ resolve impressed the UFC expert

MMA expert Chael Sonnen has appreciated ‘Bones’ for his brave Tweet. He felt it was a good move and that the little goal can keep him honest with himself and help him achieve his goal. In his recent video, Chael Sonnen appreciated Jones, Sonnen felt that Jon Jones was trying to stay focussed on his goal.

He said, Analyze This like a poem and I have to attempt to decide what the author is saying I do have to question is that author aware that this very thing that he has stepped forward courageously and publically and proclaimed he’s going to do? “

Sonnen further continued, “Is he aware that he already achieved that and that he gave it back?”

Sonnen Sees Courage in Jones’ message

Talking further, ‘The American Gangster’ said that the courage of Jones particularly excited him. It showed that he was putting his goal out to the world. Sonnen was of the opinion that Jones had made a very big statement. The UFC legend also appeared to have the belief that the little step of writing it down will bring accountability.

He said, I’m sharing with you the reason for it is that accountability is a very big deal and the reason you didn’t write it down and the reason you didn’t put it on the Mirror is you don’t want to be accountable for it. I understand that, but Jon Jones just did write it down and he just did put it out.”
