Conor McGregor has an eye for the knockout as well as securing good business deals. Arguably the biggest star in the history of the UFC, McGregor has always looked to diversify his portfolio. Careers in MMA do not last long, and fighters need to secure their futures once their fighting days are over.

‘The Notorious’ is a role model for fans and fighters alike. While some may not like Conor, credit has to be given to what he has accomplished since becoming a worldwide star. Using his fame and popularity, McGregor has looked at getting into the world of Whiskey, clothing, and entertainment. It is safe to say that he has secured his future for when he hangs up his gloves for good.

McGregor is currently ranked at #16 in the Forbes ‘Highest paid athletes’ in the world for 2020. Conor has surpassed the likes of James Harden, Deontay Wilder, and Anthony Joshua. This despite him having just one fight in the last two years. Where has he made his money from?

Proper Twelve Whiskey

In August 2017, in the post-press conference of Mayweather-McGregor, Conor took to the podium and announced, “Notorious Irish Whiskey: Coming soon.”

Now, three years later, Proper Twelve has become a well-known brand in the Whiskey world. In just the first year alone, Proper Twelve reportedly generated over a billion dollars in revenue. Conor took to social media, “Over $1b generated in Whiskey sales in my first year! Like it or not, there is a new King in town! Proper Whiskey, liquid sunshine!”

With US whiskey sales at an all-time high, Conor has been looking to take Proper Twelve to the top of the spectrum.

The Mac Life

‘TheMac Life’ is Conor McGregor’s media house. The website, while mainly focused on Conor, covers MMA news and also focuses on the sport, lifestyle, and fitness.

With almost 1 million followers on YouTube and 700k on Instagram, The Mac Life has grown to become a well-known sports media page amongst MMA fans.

McGregor took to Twitter to praise his team. He tweeted, “Oscar Willis is up there with the greatest in the game of Mixed Martial Arts reporting! Our analytics through Fight Island were glorious! The Mac Life was unmatched compared to all our fellow media outlets. Even the promotion.”

The Mac Life competes with all the leading media outlets in the MMA space. Despite being relatively new on the scene, the brand continues to grow under the McGregor name.

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has always had a love for fashion. Whether he shows up to a press conference in a nice well fitted suit or wearing alligator shoes, ‘The Notorious’ one has always gravitated to a well-defined lifestyle.

August McGregor is a partnership between Conor McGregor and David Heil. The latter has crafted handmade suits for the likes of Kobe Bryant, Canelo Alvarez, Brad Pitt, Bruce Springsteen, and Elon Musk.

Conor McGregor’s firm McGregor Sports and Entertainment Ltd. was incorporated in 2014. It was a means of tapping into McGregor’s earnings when he was a plumber.

Three years later, the company’s logo was placed front-and-center on the promotional boards for the Mayweather-McGregor boxing event, which reportedly generated 86 million for the Irish superstar.

As reported, the company is listed under ‘Other Sporting Activities’ in Ireland. McGregor has used the company to register his trademark for ‘The Mac Life’. The company generates money through advertising and promotes McGregor’s fights and his products.

Conor now looks to return to the octagon on January 23 for UFC 257 to take on Dustin Poirier.
