In the past, Brazilian UFC legend, Jose Aldo, made the decision to ask for his release from the UFC. This decision was driven by his perception of the promotion’s prioritization of Conor McGregor over other fighters and a lack of trust in the words of President Dana White.

Aldo stated that McGregor had previously claimed that he would not give up his belt and that it would not be taken from him. However, Aldo felt that the promotion’s actions and decisions were being influenced by McGregor rather than being made objectively. As a result, he chose to ask for the cancellation of his contract with the UFC.

It is important to note that Aldo’s request to leave the UFC was not a reflection of his abilities as a mixed martial artist. Rather, it was a result of his dissatisfaction with the promotion’s management and decision-making. Despite this, Aldo’s legacy as one of the greatest featherweight fighters in the history of the UFC remains intact.
