UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya doesn’t mind getting down and dirty with Jon Jones, in their bad-blood rivalry. Despite hailing from different weight classes, Jones and Adesanya have gone back and forth at each other.

While the rivalry was about to turn up in a fight, they just made it even worse by taking things to a personal level. Following a string of tweets about each other, Jon Jones mentioned Adesanya’s father in one of his posts. ‘Izzy’ retaliated by bringing Jones’ late mother into the mix. Both world champion fighters have demeaned each other almost every day on social media.

However, Israel Adesanya has revealed his ongoing stance and cited why exactly he wants to turn it dirty. ‘Izzy’ is open to professional criticisms, but he is not ready to bring family members into it. Since Jones crossed the line, Adesanya doesn’t mind taking it ahead.

In an interaction with MMA Junkie, ‘The Last Stylebender’ opened up about the ongoing feud, and explained how it turned so hideous.

While Jones’ mother is no more in this world, many people said that it was unfair of Adesanya to drag her in their feud. In response, he said, “Don’t mention my father. I don’t give a f*** if your mom is dead. I am sure she was a beautiful woman, she was a beautiful soul but I don’t give a f*** if she is dead. Don’t mention my dad. Do not mention my family, because this is business, this is work.”

Adesanya further said that Jones cannot afford to get down and dirty with him, since ‘The Last Stylebender’ considers himself from the roots, He said, “You think you can get down and dirty? Mother f*** I am from the gutter, I can get grimy. You don’t understand Nigerians…Trust me, you don’t want this war”

That said, it will be an absolute war if Jones and Adesanya ever collide inside the cage. However, looking at the current status, it doesn’t seem that they will fight each other anytime soon.
