Former UFC interim champion Ciryl Gane demanded a rematch after his loss against Francis Ngannou at UFC 270.

‘Bon Gamin’ was an undefeated fighter with a record of 10-0 before he met ‘The Predator’ inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Even though many believed Gane was a better fighter in the title match, Ngannou turned all odds and displayed sheer dominance inside the cage.

‘The Predator’ immensely pressured the Frenchman with his takedown heavy display of dominance. He won the fight and defended his heavyweight gold via a unanimous decision. Whereas, ‘Bon Gamin’ lost his undefeated streak and also his interim belt.

Despite a devastating loss, the Frenchman wants to run it all again with the Cameroonian champion. The latter is having a contract dispute with the UFC and is uncertain about his future in the promotion.

However, ‘Bon Gamin’ wants him to stay so that he can avenge his loss. In his post-fight press conference, he said, “If he leaves like that, I don’t want that. I want my rematch. He added, “I want to do this fight a second time. I want this fight, I want this rematch.”

Will Ciryl Gane get the title rematch against Francis Ngannou

‘Bon Gamin’ faced his first loss in his professional fighting career at UFC 270 and wants a rematch. However, if ‘The Predator’ continues in the promotion, Gane might not be the next viable option for the title, as the heavyweight division is stacked with worthy opponents.

However, two or more wins in his bag can earn ‘Bon Gamin’ a shot at the title. Meanwhile, the former champion Stipe Miocic has hinted at a return to the octagon. So the UFC can go with him as the next opponent for Ngannou.

Notably, Derrick Lewis has also had a good run in the UFC. He has only lost one fight from his last six. ‘The Black Beast’ holds the number three position in the division and has previously defeated Ngannou. Hence, this is also a highly anticipated rematch that UFC can opt for in the future.
