Georges St-Pierre is one of the greatest talents in the history of MMA. He is an absolute legend and is highly respected in the MMA industry for his spectacular performances during his fighting career. His combat IQ and striking skills remain unrivaled in MMA history. The Hall of Famer has held championship titles in both the welterweight and middleweight divisions.

“Rush” has a stellar professional MMA record of 26 victories and two defeats. Matt Hughes and Matt Serra have been the only two fighters to overcome St-Pierre. However, he avenged his losses against both of these fighters when they fought for the second time. The only defeats he’s had in his career have been via knockout or submission. He had lost both these by submission and knock-out. No one has ever defeated St. Pierre by decision throughout his 15-year career.

In February 2019, Georges St-Pierre announced his retirement from MMA. On May 9th, 2020, the Canadian legend was welcomed into UFC’s prestigious Hall of Fame. The Canadian has been working on acting ever since he has retired.

“The problem with a lot of guys that retired. is they have nothing to look for after they retire? That’s why I believe a lot of them fall into depression, alcoholism and they use drugs. I think when you are satisfied, it’s finished. That’s when you can be you can be unhappy. I’m never satisfied. I always work towards a certain goal. Yeah, my life as a competitor and mixed martial artist is over, but my life is not over. I always try to become that ideal Georges St Pierre that I dream when I was young. That person that I wanted to become. And I’m not there yet. I try to now to turn and to get myself into the acting world and it’s a hell of a challenge. You know it’s very interesting in it. The journey is very fun so far.

“Rush” has dabbled in acting. He has appeared in films like Captain America, Kickboxer, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In his interview, he stated he is always working on himself and his skills and on taking acting, English, and other classes. He also said that he will work on another project this fall. His drive and work ethic appear to be excellent. The mentality he displayed shows us why and how he rose to the top. He still continues to strive for progress even after passing the highest peak of his career.
