Today’s MMA news roundup is expected to charge the fans with information about the most noted events of the combat sports world. The UFC 283 is knocking at the door. Recently, the coveted pre-fight weigh-ins and stare-downs for the UFC 283 took place. Both fighters of the two title fights on the card made weight successfully. The noted YouTuber turned boxer had announced his entry into the PFL previously.

He probably has also started preparing for it. A recently surfaced video showcased ‘The Problem Child’ having jiu-jitsu training. The coveted MMA star Conor McGregor created headlines once more by expressing his desire to become the Joe Rogan of Dana White’s all-new presentation, ‘The Power Slap League’.

UFC 283 weigh-ins packed quite some action for the fans

The UFC 283 card was set to feature two title fights with the UFC light-heavyweight championship and the UFC flyweight championship being put on the line. The main card combatants had a very calm and orthodox weigh-in except for Paul Craig, who showcased some aggression against his opponent, Johnny Walker.

However, co-main eventer Deiveson Figueiredo also showcased a bit of hostility and a banana for his opponent, Brandon Moreno. The main eventers, Glover Texeira and Jamahal Hill, also showcased mutual respect and had a calm weigh-in and stare-down.

Jake Paul is building up his ground game with jiu-jitsu training

The noted YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul, created massive headlines after he announced that he would be joining the PFL. Further, he also stated that he would be joining the PFL as a promoter. Paul has also begun his training, sighting his future in the PFL. Recently, he posted a series of videos from his jiu-jitsu training session on his Instagram account.

However, the majority of his followers decided to deride ‘The Problem Child’ with destroying comments on his post.

Conor McGregor intended to take Joe Rogan’s position in Dana White’s Power Slap League

The arguably biggest star of MMA, Conor McGregor had always been vocal about his love for Dana White’s controversial new venture, The ‘Power Slap League’. McGregor had also challenged his former rival, ‘The West Coast Gangster’, Nate Diaz to a slap fight previously. But, recently, ‘Mystic Mac’ implied that he could also excel in the Power Slap League if he did what Joe Rogan does in the UFC.

McGregor took to Twitter and posted a tweet that read, “I could potentially be the Joe Rogan of Power Slap”.

Following this, McGregor also posted a series of tweets displaying his knowledge about the techniques to absorb and deliver a perfect KO slap. However, a lot of fans chose to deride ‘The Notorious’ calling himself the Joe Rogan of Power Slap league.
