Long-time rivals Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor are back in a verbal war with each other on the Internet. However, Nate’s elder brother Nick Diaz has a significant role to play this time around.

Nick Diaz returned to the octagon after a six-year-long hiatus. He went up against his former opponent, Robbie Lawler, in a highly anticipated rematch. It was a non-title five-round gruesome scrap and fans cheered Diaz throughout the fight. However, the fan-favorite is clearly past his prime.

Diaz suffered a third-round stoppage in the fight. Many fans and the MMA community took to social media to express their views on the fight and his performance. One of them was the former two-division champion, Conor McGregor.

While sharing his views on the fight, ‘The Notorious’ took a divisive dig at the Diaz brothers. He compared their boxing and claimed Nick to be a better boxer than Nate. He wrote, “Nate your boxing is piss compare to nicks. We been fed garbage with your sloppy shots the last few years. Can see the clear difference between the two brothers after last night. Balance, composure. Another level the big bro is on to you. I made you.”

However, this comparison didn’t sit well with Nick Diaz’s younger brother and McGregor’s rival, Nate Diaz. The latter quickly responded to McGregor’s tweet with a witty reply. He wrote, “U can’t fight at all member your leg?”

Despite a loss in his comeback fight, Nick Diaz will go down as a legend in the sport. Meanwhile, his brother Nate is still active in the UFC, and will surely look to take on McGregor for the third time.
