Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans (19-8-1) just earned his first win in nearly 10 years. The veteran MMA fighter came out of his retirement to face a Gabriel Checco (12-6). ‘Sugar’ put on a great showing and dominated his opponent both on the feet and on the ground to earn a unanimous decision win at the inaugural Eagle FC event.

In a conversation with Patrick Bet-David in PBD Podcast, the former UFC fighter opined, “Sometimes, these athletes have this dark passenger like this other side to themselves that allows them to rise to the occasion that darkness needs to eat, it needs to feed, you know? So you have to do dark things in order to feed it and sometimes they overindulge in it, you know?”

“And it becomes and takes over who they are, you know? But you have to be able to understand the difference between the two, you have to understand when it’s time to feed the beast and when it’s time not to. And if you are getting and overindulging in and feeding it, then you’re out of balance, because it’s all.”

Jon Jones has had troubles away from the octagon and has had to surrender his UFC belt due to the same as well. However, the last time he gave it up, it was to move to the heavyweight division.
