‘They Don’t Get Enough Support’- Conor McGregor Voices His Concerns for the Real World Fighters

Former two-division UFC champion, Conor McGregor will face Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout next month. The lightweight duo will collide on July 10. Though McGregor has been busy in preparation ahead of the mega clash, he has been doing some social work in the meantime.

Recently, ‘The Notorious’ has been heavily focused in giving back to the first responders of the 9/11 attacks. Countless people lost their lives during the mishap. As a social influencer, McGregor believes it’s his duty to help those in need. It’s truly an exemplary step from the UFC’s biggest superstar, to say the least.

These are the proper heroes to put the men and women who want into the buildings when everyone else is running out. So they are our proper heroes. And that was one of the things we wanted to do when we founded proper number 12. Was to give back and support the people that supported us when all the chips are down,” said McGregor.

It was always a thing for me to give back. And like you said, someone with a platform of mine. It’s I feel it’s my duty to put a highlight on the incredible heroic work that these men and women do. It’s very tank, it’s almost thankless work. They don’t get enough support, in my opinion,” he further added.

Is Conor McGregor setting an example with his deeds?

McGregor is always under the microscope, no matter what he does. And that’s only expected given he is among the biggest superstars of all time in combat sports. His new deeds are inspiring in so many aspects. Hence, given his place in the spotlight, he has certainly set an outstanding example for others to follow with his act.

People seem to judge the Irish superstar on his brass persona from time to time. However, with age, there have been massive changes in his behavior. He has always been one to spread the message of giving back to society. And the recent endeavors further underline that motive.
