UFC 286: Kamaru Usman Mocks Leon Edwards’ Coach’s Viral Speech That Led to UFC 278 Win

Kamaru Usman suffered a major upset that saw him lose the UFC welterweight title to Leon Edwards at UFC 278. However, he will be seeking to avenge his defeat in London this weekend. Moreover, he recently had a verbal spat with ‘Rocky’ at the pre-fight press conference for UFC 286. Many fans have reacted to it on social media.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ is preparing for his rematch in enemy territory as the English fighter looks to emerge successful in his first UFC title defense in London. The pre-fight press conference saw both Usman and Edwards get into a verbal scuffle as they warned each other ahead of their fight at UFC 286.

The former champ was constantly telling ‘Rocky’ that he was dominating their last fight before Edwards fighter landed a perfect kick to the head. He imitated what ‘Rocky’s coach told him before the last round of the fight. Usman imitated Edwards‘ accent and said, “Don’t let him bully you, son.” Many fans reacted to the former champion mocking the 31-year-old’s coach on Instagram.

Middleweight fighter Joaquin Buckley made a hilarious comment on Usman‘s impersonation and claims that he should have won the Oscars. He wrote: “Lol Usman Should win an Oscar for best impersonation at a press conference.” Even renowned Taekwondo athlete Lutalo Muhammad shared the same sentiment and wrote: “Those acting lessons have paid off!

Most fans were quick to point out that Kamaru Usman made fun of the same speech that broke his 19-fight winning streak. They claim that since he got knocked out, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ cannot talk ill about Leon Edwards and his coach. However, there are some fans who believe that the 20-2-0 record holder seems angrier than he’s ever been and will surely recapture his title.

It seems like both fighters have a lot of animosity between each other as they head for their trilogy fight at UFC 286.
