Khamzat Chimaev has kept his eyes on the championship belt from the very beginning. The Swedish martial artist made a name for himself with a mind-blowing performance against Gilbert Burns. His last victory over Kevin Holland helped him take another giant step toward his goal. The Chechen Wolf has never stopped training to get the title of champion. Recently, he was spotted at a training camp in Dubai. Without a doubt, the fighter claimed that he was ready for a fight. However, who would be his next opponent was still an oblivious fact.

However, the friction between him and the newly crowned UFC middleweight champion, Alex Pereira, has not gone unnoticed. The duo exchanged a few heated posts on social media, as they called out to each other for a match. However, the fire is far from getting quenched.

The ‘Borz’ badly wants an opponent

The Swedish mixed martial artist was spotted at a training camp in Dubai. However, he seemed pretty upset while talking about his next possible fight. Although ‘Borz’ claimed to be always ready, he wasn’t sure whom he’d fight. Chimaev said, “I’m always ready. We’ll see what’s gonna happen now. I think we’ll be, hope so, Vegas. March. Let’s see. But, I don’t know who.”

Furthermore, when the Chechen Wolf was enquired about whether he was looking for the welterweight division or the middleweight category, he simply stated that it didn’t matter to him. All he required was an opponent to fight against. He believed that he was next for the title match, before putting out a challenge to the ‘Poatan’, Alex Pereira.
