UFC lightweight GOAT, Khabib Nurmagomedov, spoke out at UFC Russia and went over the possibility of coaching a season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. TUF returned with a bang on June 1 after the show was virtually taken off the air. However, a large segment of the fanbase has welcomed the show back with open arms and each week has produced its fair share of excitement.

‘The Eagle’ was asked whether he would commit to a coaching position on the reality show despite being retired. Nurmagomedov seemed somewhat resistive at first. However, his possible involvement came with a caveat. Nurmagomedov posited that if there wasn’t much drama involved, he would entertain the idea of coaching.

“No, not really [coach on TUF]. I would have to be in the States for the entire season. Don’t really like this. I come to the US only for business, training, fights and after that I go home. I am not a fan of the US. They offered me, two or three times if I remember this correctly.”

“Just to train, no fights? Well, that’s interesting. It depends on the format of the show. I think it is a 50/50. I would like to serve as a coach but for the Russian team or for the American one or Brazil or Ireland. To train and prepare them properly within a 3-month camp? Yes, that would be interesting. As for taking part in the drama… I have already gone through it. Not interested anymore.”
