The Ireland-born mixed martial artist Conor McGregor achieved immeasurable success in one of the leading MMA promotions in the world, UFC. He became a global star with his achievements in the sport.
That being said, ‘The Notorious’ once surpassed the likes of Serena Williams, Roger Federer, and Ryan Reynolds in terms of popularity after he won his first title in the promotion.

In 2015, with five wins under his name, McGregor defeated Chad Mendes to become the new UFC featherweight champion. He also became the first Irish champion in the promotion.
Following that, McGregor’s popularity surged to another level. According to reports, he became the most searched person on google that day surpassing the likes of Serena Williams, Roger Federer & Ryan Reynolds.

The pay-per-view event UFC 189 was also an immense success, as it was ranked number three in the Nielsen Twitter TV ratings of weekly top-10 sports events and number two in the daily top five sports events.
Furthermore, UFC 189 sold a whopping 1 million pay-per-views and scored $7.2 million at the live gate making it one of the most successful Conor McGregor events in history.

McGregor and Nadal both belong to completely different sports, but their career stint and achievements are quite similar. They both became huge names in their respective sports. However, McGregor once surpassed Nadal in terms of one-match earnings.
The ‘King of Clay’ recently won his 14th French Open and 22nd Grand Slam. For which he earned a sum of $2.3 million, according to reports. However, this amount is not even 15% of what the Irish star earned in his recent loss.
