Former UFC Title Challenger Strongly Backs the “Great Opportunity” of Francis Ngannou Joining PFL

Francis Ngannou becoming a free agent has MMA fans and fighters alike on tenterhooks, waiting to see where the knockout artist will end up. But one fighter who’s already made a move to a new promotion is Marlon Moraes, a former UFC title challenger now competing with PFL. Marlon is no stranger to the octagon and his perspective is worth its weight in gold. In an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports, the 34-year-old shared his thoughts on the possibility of ‘The Predator’ joining PFL, saying it could be a game-changer for the promotion and help it punch above its weight among other MMA promotions. Moraes also dished the dirt on another little-known fact that PFL is becoming the go-to destination for MMA fighters looking for a change of scenery and what viewers can expect from PFL in the coming years.

Francis Ngannou in PFL makes all sense to Marlon Moraes

Marlon Moraes is no stranger to switching promotions, and when EssentiallySports interviewed him, the former UFC title challenger shared his thoughts on the possibility of Francis Ngannou joining the PFL. ‘Magic’ is convinced that Ngannou’s addition would be a shot in the arm for the promotion, and believes it could raise the bar for PFL and help it compete with the big dogs in the MMA world.

Moraes revealed, “I was saying last year in an interview that the PFL was behind Bellator, and getting top three MMA promotion in the world. And I see now after the PFL championship after the last season, everything that happened, new champions, the season was amazing.”

The Brazilian also talked about how the addition of Jake Paul in the PFL is already taking the promotion a notch higher. And having Francis Ngannou next would be the best possible thing for the PFL. He stated, “We getting Jake Paul and now the opportunity to sign Francis (Ngannou), it’s a great opportunity to Ray Sefo. And put a dude together and maybe meet him with Francis and bring him to PFL and make Francis Ngannou part of PFL.”

Having said that, Marlon Moraes is singing the praises of PFL, and he’s not alone. He further discussed how the promotion is becoming the preferred choice of many other fighters.

PFL is becoming desirable for the MMA fighters

Marlon Moraes is on fire about PFL, and it’s no wonder why. Further, in his interview, the ‘Magic’ shared his thoughts on the rapid growth of the promotion and how it’s attracting big names like moths to a flame. With its growing popularity among fighters, PFL is becoming the talk of the town, and Marlon thinks it’s just a matter of time before even more talent jumps on the bandwagon.

“I know a lot of people in the UFC are not happy and I know a lot of people out there (who) want to come to PFL (but) they just can’t. Because they won’t let them leave.” He further added, “And I think in the coming years, a lot more fighters are gonna cross back this way and they are gonna be side by side with us and PFL (is) about to be one of the biggest promotions in the world.”

There is no doubt that the PFL is growing substantially among the fans and has big names to it now. It shouldn’t come off as a surprise if Francis Ngannou ends up in the PFL, too.
