“He Started at NFL”- Conor McGregor Says He May Not Follow WWE Legend and Hollywood Star Dwayne Johnson’s Footsteps

Former two-division UFC champion, Conor McGregor is currently recovering from the injury he sustained at his UFC 264 clash against Dustin Poirier. McGregor recently gave an interview discussing various things, including the recent altercation he had with Machine Gun Kelly at the VMAs.

While ‘The Notorious’ implied that he didn’t even actually know who MGK was, he was also asked about a potential acting career in New York City. McGregor took the example of the famous pro-wrestling star, Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock. McGregor said even though he wants to give acting a try, he still has a lot to offer in the fight game.

The Rock is just a hard-working man. That’s his bread and butter. You can take that to anything. Just put in the work. He start at NFL, then he went to the wrestling, then he, wasn’t he the highest paid actor? He’s got his Tequila and all, The Rock’s a hard-working man,” said McGregor.

I do look at The Rock and see how he has done things. I have a lot more in the fight game, I have a lot lot more in the fight game. I am looking at the likes of Anderson Silva,” he added further.

When will Conor McGregor return to action in the UFC?

McGregor suffered a gruesome leg break at UFC 264. The nature of the injury was nothing short of freak to some extent. He is currently undergoing recovery. The Irish fighter was also asked when he can actually make a return to the Octagon. McGregor revealed that even though he feels like he can kick already, he is following the protocols set by doctors that are treating him.

The Notorious‘ is expected to take on Poirier for a fourth time at some point in time. However, it’s unlikely that he will get that fight right away. So, who he eventually faces upon his return, remains to be seen.
